Job Summary:

If you consider yourself friendly and a good listener, then working as a Bank Teller may be the right place to start your career! Baraboo State Bank is seeking an individual to join our banking team as a Bank Teller. A Teller is someone who will complete deposits, withdrawals, and other financial interactions while providing excellent customer service to all customers. Tellers are key members of the team and are responsible for making customers feel valued.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Process customer transactions (cash deposits, withdrawals, transfers, etc.) accurately and efficiently

· Maintain and balance cash drawers and reconcile discrepancies

· Identify customer needs and suggest appropriate bank services

· Build and maintain customer loyalty by providing excellent customer service

· Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner

· Ensure compliance with all financial policies and regulations

· Evaluates checks to verify endorsements, dates, identification of persons receiving payments, bank names, and overall legality of the documents.

· Maintains a work area that ensures the safety of all negotiables and confidential records

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent verbal communication skills.

· Neat and accurate workmanship

· Strong organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills

· Self-motivated and resourceful

· Trustworthiness and the ability to act with integrity.

· Thorough understanding of customer service.

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent is required.

· Basic Microsoft Office skills

· Previous banking or cash handling experience is a plus

Physical Requirements:

· May require lifting bags/boxes of coin weighing up to 50 pounds

· May require standing for extended periods of time

· May require bending and stooping

HOURS:

· 40 hours per week (full-time)

· Monday – Friday, some Saturdays as needed

Salary:

· Salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

This position is available for our Full-Time employee benefits package. This includes medical and dental insurance, life insurance, paid vacation, paid sick leave, paid holidays, long term disability, 401K enrollment and company match.
