SUMMARY:
As a Laundry Attendant, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our facility by handling all laundry needs, including flat linens, personal laundry, and dietary linens. Your attention to detail and dedication will contribute to the overall quality of care we provide.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Collects soiled laundry from various areas of the facility.
Sorts and launders flat linens, personal laundry, etc., following established procedures.
Operates laundry equipment proficiently and ensures proper maintenance.
Folds and prepares laundry for distribution throughout the facility.
Distributes clean laundry to resident rooms and staff areas promptly.
Provides clean laundry to maintain the dignity and comfort of residents and staff.
Ensures a high standard of cleanliness and infection control in the laundry area.
Cross-trains to assist with housekeeping duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required: High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
Preferred: Experience with commercial laundry equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, and frequently stand/walk.
Environment: Work primarily indoors in a commercial laundry room, with potential exposure to environmental and chemical hazards.
SHIFT:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, with every other weekend rotation.
