Sports medicine outreach duties include injury prevention, recognition, evaluation and assessment, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation and reconditioning of the physically active under the supervision of physician. May serve as support staff for clinic duties as assigned per competency, under direct supervision of PT. Performs non-patient care tasks as directed by Rehab Business Manager/Director.
Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited university. Master’s preferred. Certified Athletic Trainer, National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATA BOC); Licensed Athletic Trainer, Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure (KBML). BLS certification required.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum two years previous experience preferred; skill competency level preferred. Very effective communication skills highly desirable.
