Position Highlights The Center for Innovation in Brain Sciences is seeking a skilled Clinical Research Coordinator specializing in immunometabolism to join our Alzheimer's disease research team. Responsibilities include managing clinical operations, conducting assays, overseeing sample management, and ensuring regulatory compliance. With a preference for a PhD in a relevant field and prior experience, the ideal candidate will contribute to advancing our understanding of Alzheimer's disease and developing new treatments, focusing on patient safety and data integrity.

Duties & Responsibilities - Running mitochondrial respiration assays to be used in biomarker assessment.
- Responsible for receiving, storage, and management of PBMC samples received from the sites as well and immunomagnetic cell isolation, cell staining and flow cytometry.
- Receiving, storage, and management of PBMC samples received from the clinical sites.
- Assist in maintaining the existing data management system for the Allo project.
- Maintenance of all standard operating procedures for the clinical operations and provide quality control thereof.
- Support the training of study personnel at investigator meetings and study sites regarding protocol procedures and administration.
- Contribute to the medical monitoring of the trial ensuring subject safety and appropriate detection and management of safety related issues.
- Facilitate the recruitment of participants into clinical trials.
- Attend regulatory meetings and submit regulatory documents in consultation with Dr. Brinton and clinical team.
- Updating and filing all IRB and FDA required documents.
- Ensure data acquisition strategies are in place and adhere to NIH and FDA reporting standards.
- Generation of all reports for NIA, FDA, clinicaltrials.gov and publication of findings.
- Present research findings at group meetings, national and international scientific conferences.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): - Specific knowledge about Allopregnanolone.
- Specific knowledge about sex differences and APOE.
- Specific knowledge about Alzheimer's disease.
- Specific knowledge on immunometabolism in AD.
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Three (3) years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications - Prior experience as a clinical study coordinator with activities including human study recruitment, development of recruitment materials, progress meetings, patient meetings, submitting research documentation, IRB protocol updates.
- PhD in genetics, genomics, neuroscience, medical pharmacology, or clinical translational science in AD.
