In your role as the Trust Operations Specialist, you are responsible for the completion of the daily transaction processing necessary to initiate or finalize cash-based transactions. Incorporate tasks of a less-routine nature in to daily priorities. Assure optimal levels of service and accuracy are provided while adhering to critical deadlines. While adhering to critical deadlines, you are supporting reconcilement, regulatory, and system management functions for our department ensuring optimal levels of service and accuracy are provided.

Your Role

  • Responsible for processing of daily trust transactions, including cash receipts and disbursements (via check, wire transaction, or electronic transfers). Ensure all transactions are properly initiated and approved within established policy and procedure prior to processing.
  • Ensure the proper, accurate, and timely completion of the security income processing.
  • Track all transactions posted throughout the business day and reconcile the department’s cash blotter to the system records, ensuring the system is in balance before completing each day’s work. Research and resolve out-of-balance conditions. Report any overdraft positions both at day’s end and at the beginning of the business day.
  • Participate in the processing of the monthly departmental revenue collected to the appropriate general ledgers. Additional steps may be necessary via the generation and review of reporting.
  • Manage various interfaces to/from the Trust-Rite Trust Accounting system, including those needed for pricing, proxy processing, and client accesss.
  • Maintain the department’s access to bank systems ensuring that all applicable accounts are automated and entries are accurately posted.
Required Experience:


Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent work experience with 1 year related experience or 2 years progressively responsible, financial processing experience.
  • Familiarity with Trust Operations functions; familiarity with financial industry, securities industry, bank compliance, regulatory, and audit guidelines imposed. Specifically securities trading, trust accounting and information technology needs.
  • Strong organizational skills, an orientation to detail, accurate transaction processing, and able to detect situations that require analysis prior to processing.
  • Solid understanding of personal computers and Microsoft Office software applications. Ability to learn and manage proprietary software applications.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities, problem-solve and work effectively with internal associates as well as occasional client contact.
