Who You Are

The Deposit Operations Specialist a process-oriented and service-minded professional that will facilitate the operational functions that support various banking services. It is critical in your role to have high levels of integrity with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. In your role, you are responsible for reconciling accounts, wire transfer processing, processing of electronic transactions such as ACH and debit cards, deposit accounts and ATM/Debit operations. Providing a full range of professional, technical and general support to customers and Bank Personnel. Maintain a thorough working knowledge of the bank’s customer and deposit servicing system and the systems utilized in processing these products and services.

Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of regulations and laws concerning the electronic banking industry.

Your Role

  • Administer all daily maintenance activities related to deposit services in a timely and accurate manner, including ACH pre-notes, checks, NOC, ATM/Debits effecting balances transactions or disputes.
  • NSF/OD Item processing with departments, lenders and front-line team members
  • Resolution of (DDA/SAV/COD/SDB) non-post and Stop Payment items from previous business day ensuring correct documentation received.
  • Review customer corrections and generate daily notices to be mailed to customers and departments
  • Review/Process/Balance branch items, incoming and outgoing cash letters, and foreign checks, and credit card payments.
  • Respond to ATM/Debit card requests/inquiries from internal and external clients including opening, modifying and/or closing.


Required Experience:


Your Knowledge and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent, Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred; or equivalent work experience required.
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in a financial or banking environment preferred
  • Excellent work ethic, high levels of integrity, ability to prioritize and results focused.
  • Knowledge and experience with banking systems and processing software and proficiency with Windows based applications and operations related software.
  • Knowledge of check processing, ACH, wire transfers and card services preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in a similar role within a bank operations or retail team; account reconciliation and deposit operations experience preferred.
  • Work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Dedicated to the delivery of excellent client service to interact effectively with clients and team members at any level in the organization
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Federal and State regulations pertaining to bank operation functions.
