Banister Nissan of Chesapeake is Hiring an Automotive Service Advisor/Express Near Chesapeake, VA

Banister Nissan of Chesapeake is an Automotive Dealership that is currently operating in three locations. Our Service Department is seeking to add another professional Express Service Advisor to our service drive.

Summary

The Service Advisor is the primary liaison between the Service Department and its customers. Service Advisors are responsible for assisting their customers with their service and maintenance needs, and for assuring the customers’ continued satisfaction with their vehicles and the dealership.

Responsibilities:

Deliver the Nissan Customer Promise to every customer. Treat them as family.
Maintain an above average Nissan Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI or KPI)
Maintain full Owner First certification, including monthly Virtual Academy accreditation.
Assist all customers with their vehicle repair and maintenance requests/needs.
Greet all service customers at their vehicles.
Obtain customer and vehicle data.
Review vehicle repair history (determine if vehicle has been in the shop for this issue before, or what recommendations you can provide based on mileage)
Determine needed maintenance by performing a walk around on every vehicle.
Consult with Shop Foreman/Diag. Specialist if needed.
Sell needed service based on MPI results and maintenance schedule.
Estimate cost of labor and parts
Establish time promised in conjunction with Dispatcher.
Monitor progress of customer’s vehicle during the repair process and keep customer updated.
Handle customer inquiries, including phone and in person.
Verify final invoice amounts.
Explain completed work and charges to customer.
Perform an active delivery to customer.
Follow up with customer for needed repair and maintenance.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.
Post-secondary automotive training or equivalent work experience.
One year of dealer-level or large facility experience preferred.
Neat, clean, and professional appearance.
Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality.
Highly professional and dependable.
Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress.
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff.
Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record.
Basic computer and internet skills.
