Bane Welker Equipment is Hiring an Equipment Delivery Driver Near Terre Haute, IN
- Operates vehicles to pick up, transport, and deliver equipment
- Deliver supplies to the customers of the dealership in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinates activities and cooperates with other department employees to best serve the customer
- Before leaving on your route for the day check the fuel level and oil in the truck
- Make sure the brakes, windshield wipers, and lights are working and that a fire extinguisher or other safety equipment are aboard and in working condition.
- Driver will be responsible for loading and unloading the truck
- Driver needs to ensure their cargo is secure and adjust the mirrors so that both sides of the truck are visible from the driver’s seat
- Seatbelts must be always worn
- Driver is to report equipment that is inoperable, missing, or loaded improperly to the Service Manager
- Gives basic operating instructions to the customer at the time of delivery of the equipment
- Keeps records of pick-ups and deliveries and obtains necessary signatures and receipts as requested by supervisors
- Maintaining the delivery truck, including servicing, maintaining the gas and oil, and keeping it clean
- Being responsible for the collection of information and reporting of any accident regardless of size, to the Service Manager
- Observes all safety rules and consistently works safely – reports any injuries immediately to the Service Manager
- Maintains cleanliness of the working area and presents a neat and professional appearance
- Seek other opportunities when temporarily unable to finish a delivery
- Help co-workers and fellow employees in the territory as needed
- Completes and submits all daily documentation to the service manager in a timely manner
- Maintains appropriate licenses and certifications
- Other duties as may be assigned by the Service Manager.
- CDL IS RQUIRED
- Familiar with the operation of the dealer’s line of equipment

- Work is performed in an office, maintenance shop and outdoor environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system. May be subject to sitting, standing, climbing, lifting, grasping, reaching, stooping, crouching, speaking, listening and motor coordination.
