Bally's Corporation is Hiring a Surveillance Officer Near Kansas, MO

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude toward all external and internal guests at all times.
  • Observe all guest and team member activities in all monitored areas, including, but not limited to, casino floor, cage, count room, restaurants, and back of house common areas.
  • Monitor activity for criminal activity, violation of Missouri Gaming Commission regulations, and/or violation of company policies and procedures.
  • Appropriately record activities and report observations to company and Missouri Gaming Commission officials.
  • Appropriately record surveillance activity in daily log.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial information, operating systems, company policies and procedures, market plans, and team member and patron information.
  • Have complete knowledge of all casino events and promotional activities.
  • Keep work area in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all guests and team members.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures established by Bally's KC and departmental management.
  • Other duties as assigned or any reasonable request from any member of management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, and OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Previous CCTV or Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
  • Must obtain Missouri Gaming Commission occupational license.
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports using correct grammar and punctuation.
  • Appropriate use of personal computer, fax machine, and telephone with voice mail system.
  • Knowledge of all surveillance equipment, including CCTV cameras and monitors, NVR system, alarm systems, and listening devices, and all CCTV related computer systems.
  • Knowledge of all table games and casino internal controls.
  • Must be able to work any assigned shift, including late nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Read, write, and understand simple instructions.
  • Communicate appropriately with all casino guests, casino departments, and fellow team members.
  • Understand and adhere to all Missouri Gaming Commission regulations and any other applicable federal, state, and/or local regulations.
  • Accurately perform all assigned job duties in a fast-paced environment, usually under strict time pressures, and usually with a high volume of phone calls and two-way radio traffic.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT: while performing the duties of this job, the team member is exposed to variable temperatures, smoke, beeping alarms, and bright flashing lights. The surveillance room is a secured, locked office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually reasonably quiet.
