FT Nanny & House Manager Opportunity with Active, Travel-Loving Chester County Family (10 hrs./day) - Balia Nanny Referral Agency

About the Family:

A happy, active family who recently relocated from a major city to Chester County, PA, is seeking a qualified nanny and house manager to join their household. They enjoy exploring their local area and venturing out on occasional family trips! The family has a spacious home and a lovable Berne doodle (walking duties are more like playtime!). The primary caregiver works in a demanding career that requires travel sometimes.

Children: 2 children ages 5 & 8

Pets: 1 Bernedoodle

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic candidate to join our family as soon as possible!

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 5:30 pm (flexible depending on school schedules) - 10 hours per day

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly rate of $26 (adjusted for 10-hour days)
• Guaranteed work hours
• 2 weeks paid vacation (1 week coinciding with family vacation)
• 4 sick days
• National holidays off (with pay)
• Overtime pay for extended hours/overnights ($100/overnight)

The Position:

This full-time (50 hours/week) position offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of two boys and manage the day-to-day needs of the household. The ideal candidate is a reliable, energetic individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys spending time with children. You'll also manage light housekeeping and errands and may be asked to travel with the family occasionally (overnight stays possible with extra pay).

As part of our commitment to child safety, all applicants will be interviewed by Balia Nanny Referral Agency and will be required to undergo a background check and drug screening if chosen for an interview with the family.

A Typical Day:

• Mornings (7:30 am - 8:30 am): Help the boys get ready for school (breakfast, packing lunches, dressing)
• School Drop-Off (8:30 am): Bus for their older child, carpool for their younger child on Tuesdays & Thursdays.
• Fun Activities with Younger Child (8:30 am - 4:00 pm): Depending on the day, this might include trips to the library, errands, playtime at the park, or educational activities at home.
• Housekeeping & Errands (Tuesdays & Thursdays only): Light housekeeping tasks (dusting, vacuuming, tidying), manage household errands (grocery shopping, dry cleaning pick-up), schedule appointments (doctor's visits, dog grooming), and manage dog care (letting the dog out, playtime).
• School Pick-Up (4:00 pm): Pick up their older child from the bus stop.
• Afternoons (4:00 pm - 5:30 pm): Help their older child with homework, prepare a healthy snack, playtime with both boys (board games, reading, outdoor activities), bath time (for their younger child), and help get them ready for bed.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience caring for children of similar ages (mandatory)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Experience with light housekeeping and managing errands a plus
• Authorized to work legally within the USA (mandatory)
• Looking for long-term employment (ideally more than 1 year)
• CPR and First Aid certified (mandatory)
• Strong swimmer (you'll join the family for swims at the country club in the summer)
• Enjoys a plant-based lifestyle (the kids are "plant-forward")
• Loves dogs (dog is a big part of the family!)
