POSITION SUMMARY:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty independently and satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Good communication, written and time management skills are essential to effectively manage this position. This position requires the individual to be present during plant operations to successfully achieve operational procedures and goals. This may include weekends and holidays. It is expected that the position be available for attendance at training seminars and conferences as deemed necessary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Purchase all maintenance parts and supplies, production parts and supplies.
Creating requisitions for Fox Run R&D for all needs. Receive in raw materials for them
Order some plant lab supplies as requested, if not ordering, supply purchase order number, input items and costs in the maintenance software system, and receive the items in.
Negotiating 90 day terms
Perform procurement duties including purchase order placement, vendor selection, price negotiations, schedule outside contractors and service, schedule plant equipment inspections including boilers, ammonia system, air compressors, and cargo elevator.
Implementing/updating Fiix inventory and entering all parts
Perform receiving/inventory duties, which include receiving incoming materials, manage parts/tool cribs, investigate and remedy accounts receivable discrepancies, implement and enforce receiving/inventory procedures.
Administrate the maintenance and plant production preventative maintenance program.
Write preventative maintenance procedures per manufacturer recommendations.
Generate and distribute maintenance and production PM's on a weekly basis.
Enter maintenance work orders and maintenance emergency work orders.
Enter and track completed PM's and maintains all related files.
Assist with Capital Project record keeping with accounting.
Assist with maintaining maintenance budget, advise when expenditures begin to exceed norm.
Serve as the Defiance Plant maintenance software Administrator.
Assume duties of Maintenance Supervisor in his absence.
Provide administration duties for Maintenance as needed.
Comply with all policies and procedures of the Corporation
Perform other duties as required
REQUIREMENTS:
Reasoning ability: Common sense, safety rules, and all company guidelines must be followed to maintain a safe and suitable work environment for food processing facilities.
Physical Demands and Work Environment: The job responsibilities of this position may require this person to do an extensive amount of walking and lifting. In addition, the plant environment involves working in noisy, wet, slippery, and hot conditions.
Work Experience Requirements: A minimum of 2 years in this field is required
Education Requirements: A high school degree or GED is required in addition to strong math, verbal, and oral communication skills. The individual must have good organizational skills, good customer skills, and be proficient on the computer.
