Partner with the best

The Middle Office Analyst will be responsible for timely confirmation, settlement and reconciliation of all trades executed by Baker Hughes globally. The role will also be responsible to maintain standard settlement instructions within the treasury management system and resolving any breaks.

As the Middle Office Analyst, will have the following responsibilities for the overall Baker Hughes company:

  • Lead the process of confirming various trades (FX, Commodities, Investments, Commercial paper etc) executed by the Front Office with the financial institutions.
  • Maintain standard settlement instructions within the Treasury management system to enable settlements of various trades.
  • Partner with liquidity team to ensure sufficient cash is available to settle all trades, partner with various teams to execute any close out trades if needed.
  • Execute timely settlement of all trades with counterparties.
  • Perform operational reconciliation to ensure that all cash movements to settle the trades have been reconciled.
  • Complete regulatory reporting requirements associated with trades are completed on time.
  • Manage the process of generating and updating legal entity identifiers (LEI’s) for each entity that is required to execute trades.
  • Setup master data review in Treasury Management System & ensure periodic reviews.
  • Support ad-hoc projects.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Bachelors in finance or accounting is preferred or equivalent knowledge & experience from an accredited university or college.
  • Experience in a Treasury function OR Markets function at a financial institution.
  • Excellent communication skills in various forms, including verbal, written and presentational.
  • Treasury Management System knowledge.
  • Managing relationships; able to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of people at all levels both internal and external.
  • Resilience, there are many pressures within the role which are related to both time and the need to make appropriate decisions within a dynamic environment.

Desired Characteristics

  • Able to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues
  • Prior experience in working on Quantum (FIS)
  • Effective interpersonal and leadership skills
