Bailey Nurseries is Hiring a Seasonal Production Assistant Near Winterville, GA
Qualified candidate is responsible to assist with plant breeding and liner sales programs doing various tasks that will include but are not limited to:
- Assist with seedling transplants and upshifting plants to larger container sizes.
- Assist with collecting and sticking cuttings.
- Fill containers with potting soil.
- Sort, consolidate plants and dispose of dead plant material.
- Pull weeds in containers and in the landscape.
- Prune plants in containers and in the landscape.
- Fertilize plants in containers and in the landscape.
- Sweep and clean out greenhouses and growing spaces.
- Mow lawn and weed eating the landscape.
- Assist with various maintenance tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Able to work outside for extended periods of time in hot and humid environment.
- Able to operate lawnmowers, weed eaters, and various power tools.
- Effective communication skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish helpful.
- Can work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexible toward work schedule that may include overtime and occasional weekends.
- Must take and pass employer paid pre-employment drug test.
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- operate lawnmowers, weed eaters and various power tools: 1 year (Required)
