TITLE:  Ambulatory Care Assistant 

LOCATION: Irvine, CA (Onsite)

SCHEDULE: 3 days a week; 8-hour days | 7am-3:30pm

PAY:  $20.00 - $23.00 Hour DOE

This is the pay range that BAHAMA Consulting reasonably expects to pay someone for this position.

SUMMARY: Job Summary: The Ambulatory Care Assistant (ACA) is responsible for maintaining a highly professional environment, ensuring a collaborative relationship with patients, physicians, referring physicians, non-licensed and licensed staff in the Clinic.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1. Assist with non-clinical tasks required to ensure smooth patient access and flow. 
2. Schedule patients for follow up office visits, imaging and lab work, preparation of appropriate chart elements, and escorting patient to room and collecting vital signs and patient information.
3. May perform blood drawing with phlebotomy certification.
4. Assists physician with tasks such as removing bandages, collection of samples not requiring sterile procedures, and other non-sterile tasks.
5. Stocks and organizes exam rooms and assists with storage of medical supplies.
6. This position also handles the pre-authorization process and acts as a liaison between the providers and patient.
7. provides updates to the clinic staff and patients on timing, ensuring patient flow.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent. (Required) 
2. Associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare-related field. (Preferred) 
3. BLS Certification 
4. One-plus years in healthcare related field
