**Job Description**
BAE Systems is looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to work on developing automated pipelines for cloud environments and support automated build, test and release deployments. The selected candidate will have an important role on our team dedicated to supporting our design and implementation of a Space Ground mission focused software cloud application.
As a DevSecOps Engineer you will have hands on experiences with developer productivity, cloud native applications, and container orchestration. You will need to understand micro-service architecture, container development, orchestration, service messages and security.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Design, write and deliver Infrastructure as Code software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of the network
Build automated DevOps pipelines using tools such as GitLab and Azure DevOps
Develop jobs for the deployment of various artifacts that constitute an application on a container-based environment such as Docker
Participate in development of advanced CI / CD processes to support deployments
Work extensively to deploy applications on Kubernetes clusters
Maintain services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health
Automate repetitive tasks to eliminate toil and drive consistency repeatability
Find opportunities for innovation, leveraging new cutting edge technologies and tools
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
US Citizenship with an active Secret clearance is required
Bachelor's Degree or higher in a computer related field
Experience using DevSecOps tools such as GitLab, GitOps, Bitbucket, CI/CD Pipelines, Docker, Fortify, Sonarqube, Chef/Ansible, Terraform, Nexus
Experience with Cloud technologies such as Rancher, Kubernetes, Argo CD, Argo Workflow, Helm, Terraform, Jenkins, Chef, Service Mesh
Motivated individual with strong problem-solving abilities
The ability to engage constructively with peers and technical lead to communicate the technical approach, trade-offs, and technical decisions
Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
Highly motivated and able to work well in both team and solo settings
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
Experience with Agile software development
Experience with Kafka, Elasticsearch, Redis
Experience with Docker, Helm, Kubernetes
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, VMware, Azure
Certification in a cloud technology such as AWS Certification
Certification in CompTIA Security
Experience developing/maintaining CI pipeline using tools such as Gitlab CICD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc. for automated build, test and deployment
Experience developing/maintaining Ansible and Terraform scripts to provision servers and deploy infrastructure as code.
Experience with setting up and configuring VMs and Open source software (VMWare, Virtual Box and Parallels)
Familiarity with Cyber Security
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $112420 - $191070
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
