Job Description Join us in Enterprise Shared Services! Finance Shared Services (FSS) provides business support activities to the business units. Areas of service include: administration and processing of Travel and Expense, and Accounts Payable; reporting and management of Time Entry; processing and management of Payroll; Application of Customer Receipts; management of customer support for related services; training Finance partners on policies and procedures; and providing data and information for analysis.
This position reports into the VP of Finance Shared Services. The position will be responsible for managing compliance, audit, and regulatory requests for FSS, leveraging functional areas to support such requests as needed. The financial controls, similar to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), require testing, reporting results, identifying deficiencies and tracking corrective adjustments to completion. This position manages and provides guidance to a small team in the subject area will also be part of the position.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Risk and Compliance Monitoring: Conducts reviews, tracks compliance with, and reports on financial controls framework and control owner self-assessments. This includes re-evaluating process, risks, and strength of controls and risk profile.
2. Audit Support: Provides audit support for DCAA audits of both Shared Services and various enterprise wide audits, Deloitte financial audits, BAE Systems Internal Audits; and various other regulatory audits. Responsible for incoming audit and compliance requests, ensuring coordination is maintained between the shared service functional areas and compliance individuals or auditors. Maintains relationships with local DCAA office, as needed. Follows up on audit findings and closing issues with corrective action plans, remediation, and resolution.
3. Coordinates and prepares Operational Assurance Statements (OAS) responses for Shared Services, reported to corporate headquarters.
4. Supports Cost Allocation methodology for the Shared Services Resource Center based on disclosure statements.
5. Continuous Improvement: Initiates and supports continuous improvement projects throughout the shared services organization
6. Manages small staff including performance management responsibilities.
7. Establishes a cooperative, team-oriented environment with a strong sense of accountability and customer service orientation. Motivates and develops employees to foster a collaborative, customer service culture.
8. Performs other related duties, as required.Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business ManagementMinimum of 10 years of Risk, Audit & Compliance professional experience including direct audit backgroundMust be able to work Hybrid reporting to NC Working knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and internal controls
Experience with Microsoft Office required
Strong attention to detail and proficient using large databases and turning data into information
Able to communicate complicated information in a format meaningful to the audience
Able to anticipate problems and respond accordingly
Strong organization and follow-through skills
Strong customer service skillsPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills - 12-15 years experience preferred
- CPA or MS in finance, accounting or business related field
- Experience with Oracle Financials, Deltek CostPoint, PeopleSoft, and Concur
- Strong entrepreneurial skills and ability to work with limited supervision
- Strong interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience performing accounting services as a defense/government contractor in a governmentally regulated and compliant organization
- Understanding of Defense Contractor Audit Agency (DCAA), Defense Contractor Management Agency (DCMA) practices including CAS, FAR and DOD procurement regulation issues
- Experience in a finance shared service environment preferred
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $112800 - $191800

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
