Badger State Staffing has immediate openings on second and third shifts as an Entry-Level Grinder. As a Grinder, you will be responsible for operating machinery to grind and polish metal parts to precise specifications. This is a full-time position that requires expertise in operating various machining equipment and precision measuring instruments.

Duties

• Set up and operate grinding machines to grind metal parts according to blueprints, specifications, or job orders
• Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy of dimensions
• Inspect finished parts for quality and conformance to specifications
• Perform routine maintenance on grinding machines to ensure optimal performance
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining processes is a plus but not required
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to become trained in forklift operation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
