Job Description:

The Front of House staff at Ollie and Finn's and Bad Idea will play a vital role in creating a positive dining experience for guests. This team is responsible for ensuring excellent customer service, managing guest interactions, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. The Front of House staff consists of various roles, each contributing to the smooth operation of the restaurant's dining area.

Key Responsibilities:

**Greeting Guests:**

*Welcome guests as they enter the restaurant with a friendly demeanor. *Point guests in the direction of the menus and specials board.

**Taking Orders at Register:**

*Assist guests in making menu selections, answer questions, and provide recommendations. *Accurately take food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen staff. *Address any dietary restrictions or special requests and ensure the kitchen is made aware.

**Serving Food and Beverages:**

*Serve meals and beverages promptly and accurately to the correct tables. *Ensure proper presentation and quality of dishes before serving. *Monitor tables, clear empty dishes, and sanitize the tables once the guests leave.

**Customer Service:**

*Provide attentive and personalized service to guests, addressing any questions or concerns. *Handle guest complaints or issues professionally, seeking assistance from management if necessary. *Create a warm and inviting atmosphere to enhance the overall dining experience.

**Upselling and Promotion:**

*Familiarize yourself with the menu and daily specials to effectively upsell dishes and beverages. *Inform guests about ongoing promotions, events, and loyalty programs.

**Maintaining Cleanliness:**

*Ensure cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and floor. *Set up tables with utensils, napkins, and other essentials before guests arrive. *Assist in resetting tables for the next guests.

**Team Collaboration:**

*Coordinate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders. *Communicate guest feedback and special requests to the kitchen and management. *Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a harmonious working environment.

**Adhering to Policies:**

*Follow restaurant policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines. *Uphold grooming and uniform standards as outlined by the restaurant.

Qualifications:

*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. *Customer-oriented attitude and the ability to remain calm under pressure. *Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. *Basic math skills for handling payments and bills. *Familiarity with the menu and the ability to describe dishes accurately. *Previous experience in customer service or the restaurant industry is a plus. *Strong teamwork and communication skills. *Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks. *Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
