About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Control Management Officer who will serve as the BCM for Enterprise Function Technology responsible for Finance, Legal, and Public Affairs. In this role, you will: Act as an advisor to more experienced leaders in developing risk mitigation strategies for complex and highly integrated business specific risk across different business lines Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report impact of decisions and business controls to the relevant business group and enterprise function Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex current and emerging risks requiring in depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, as well as good understanding of financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, and business process management Lead, mentor, and influence Control Management project or virtual teams in a matrixed and dotted line environment Engage with all levels of roles across the business group, and serve as an experienced advisor in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and controls that mitigate risks and address regulatory requirements Challenge the status quo and think outside of the box to deliver innovative solutions while not compromising MRA/Regulatory commitments Identify and establish governance process and accountability to comply with WFT policies Partner with lines of defense, Operations Risk, internal audit and technology leaders to execute governance and accountability across WFT initiatives Escalate issues/risks to initiative leads and/or CIO teams to ensure timely resolution and well in advance of execution plan end dates Participate in the development of standard metrics and KPI’s. Analyze and drive optimization for the WFT organization against key metrics Required Qualifications: 7 years of Risk Management or Financial Services Industry experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: Experience managing and executing risk programs that align to a Risk, Compliance or Control function supporting the business Broad and significant knowledge of Technology and the associated challenges, risks and required controls inherent in a complex environment, including knowledge of Finance and Legal Technology processes Strong ability and experience working with and collaborating with leaders and team members at all levels and across functional lines. Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of strategic elements of financial, operational, technical and regulatory environments across a complex global services environment Track record of providing constructive consulting with appropriate issue escalation and offering solutions Experience performing centralized governance, oversight responsibilities, and the facilitation of strategic planning for the Technology Control Framework. Experience performing the centralized collection, administration and support for all critical engagements applicable to the Technology Control Framework facilitating collaboration of accountable resources and subject matter experts as required; delivering on Technology Control Framework commitments. Developing and performing all centralized process/control effectiveness and data compliance monitoring. Facilitates the identification, planning and oversight for associated remediation activities. Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner Excellent verbal and written communication skills Job Expectations: Onsite presence is required 3 days a week at one of the posted locations.
