About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Emerging Middle Markets Business Development Representative to identify and acquire new business relationships within the Hispanic/Latino segment who have annual gross sales of $25MM to $75MM. In this role, you will: • Prospect companies within identified segments with annual gross sales of typically between $25MM to $75MM and remain engaged until prospects are successfully converted to customers • Develop and execute strategic initiatives and maintain a diverse client strategy for their assigned market •Originate, structure and execute transactions for the Hispanic/Latino segment generating revenues related to investment banking, commercial lending, treasury management and other credit related products • Participate in and influence outcome during pre-call planning discussions and proposals for the Hispanic/Latino segment • Meet business objectives while leveraging solid understanding of functional area operations, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements with an emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation • Work cohesively with senior leaders and partners to effectively engage and advocate for the Hispanic/Latino community, internally and externally • Partner with Commercial Relationship Managers to cross sell appropriate products and services, prioritize prospects, develop pursuit strategy, create proposals, manage new customer acquisitions, and onboarding process for customers •Collaborate in close alignment with Diverse Segment Leader, Strategic Philanthropy, Corporate Communications, Corporate Responsibility and Social Impact teams to represent Wells Fargo in the marketplace Required Qualifications, US: 4 years of Emerging Middle Market Business Development experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: • Participation in an industry group or organization that aligns with Wells Fargo's support of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion • Experience and in-depth knowledge of the Hispanic/Latino segment, their businesses, goals and strategies and with the Hispanic/Latino community and its leaders • Proven track record and experience direct sourcing and prospecting new clients • Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas • Credit acumen demonstrated through education or knowledge and understanding of commercial credit underwriting, loan servicing, products, and credit practices • Established network in the local market • Risk management experience to include understanding of the responsibility to protect sensitive information • Proven ability to develop and execute a sales strategy • Experience negotiating interest rates, price, terms, and collateral requirements • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills • Proficient with MS Technology Platforms (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, outlook) Desired Qualifications: • Participation in an industry group or organization that aligns with Wells Fargo's support of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion • Experience and in-depth knowledge of the Hispanic/Latino segment, their businesses, goals and strategies and with the Hispanic/Latino community and its leaders • Proven track record and experience direct sourcing and prospecting new clients • Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas • Credit acumen demonstrated through education or knowledge and understanding of commercial credit underwriting, loan servicing, products, and credit practices • Established network in the local market • Risk management experience to include understanding of the responsibility to protect sensitive information • Proven ability to develop and execute a sales strategy • Experience negotiating interest rates, price, terms, and collateral requirements • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills • Proficient with MS Technology Platforms (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.) Job Expectations: Travel up to 10% of the time Posting End Date: 11 Feb 2024 *Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants.
