Job Description:
We are currently seeking resumes from qualified Structural Engineers for our Irvine, CA office. The role will be to manage and design municipal and state projects for streets/highways/freeways involving bridges and civil structures. The applicant should be capable of managing budgets, discipline tasks, and tracking projects while being responsible for client deliverables. Preparation and checking of design calculations, quantities, cost estimates, and project plans for bridge and civil structures. Additional duties may include field assessment and inspection of structures and facilities. Is self-motivated, technically proficient, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, and is team-oriented. The candidate must be willing to travel periodically within California and neighboring southwestern states and be physically capable of performing fieldwork and to AZTEC headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona.

This position will require general supervision and will have to use independent judgment within established guidelines. Generally, uses advanced knowledge to analyze, interpret, or make deductions from varying facts or circumstances. Will need the ability to establish rapport quickly with others working on the same project, and be able to promote a positive team environment. Working knowledge of dealing with a diverse population while using tact, diplomacy, and respect.
