AZTEC is seeking a full-time IT Systems Support Specialist based in our Phoenix, AZ Headquarters to provide IT support services to our US-based and growing teams!

Job Description:

In this role, you will be an integral part of AZTEC’s IT Team working in a collaborative environment responsible for the following tasks:

  • Help Desk Management
    1. Provide “best-in-class” user support
    2. Manage the help-ticket queue, troubleshoot, solve user issues, and escalate when necessary
    3. Serve as our first point of contact when IT user issues arise
    4. Provide hands-on user support on a wide array of software applications
  • New Hire Onboarding
    1. Create user accounts in Active Directory (AD)
    2. Assign IT Hardware as requested by the hiring manager
    3. Assign O365 licenses that are necessary for the user’s role within the company
    4. Provide IT Orientation for all new hires on their first day and answer any IT questions they may have
  • Active Directory Management
    1. User account creation, password resets, and assigning permissions
  • O365 User Licensing
    1. Assign users O365 Licenses based on the role within the company
  • O365/SharePoint Configuration and Management
    1. Create O365 Groups for projects. End user training on O365, Microsoft Teams and Teams Rooms
  • Asset Management
    1. Assign IT Hardware and maintain an accurate inventory. (Including asset tagging and troubleshooting hardware issues)
  • High proficiency with the use of Microsoft O365 Software Suite
    1. OneDrive, Excel, and Word
    2. Document software installations, configurations, and known issues
    3. Create new and editi existing documentation across the entire IT Infrastructure as hardware or configuration changes
  • OS Imaging
    1. Install software, patching, configuring, and maintaining laptops and mobile devices. Examples include monitors, docking stations, and printers
  • Network Administration
    1. Manage Firewalls, Switches, and Access Points
    2. Configure and maintain DNS, LAN/WAN, WIFI, VPN, and Group Policy
    3. Troubleshoot issues and reach out to vendors and manufacturers for support when needed
    4. Using SSH and CLI tools to manage or configure hardware is a plus
  • Storage Administration
    1. Manage backups, manage data storage, and troubleshoot and resolve storage issues as they arise
    2. Archive data as needed when it’s no longer needed on the network
    3. Use SSH and CLI for configurations or changes in storage settings
  • System Administration
    1. Manage and maintain servers, which will include monthly patching
    2. Identify and fix network issues
    3. System maintenance and health monitoring
    4. Testing and evaluating new technologies and software
    5. Using PowerShell to create scripts for automation and batch files
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Job Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):

  • Minimum of an associate degree in computer science, IT, related field, or equivalent work experience and training
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in technical support of PC, networks and servers
  • Desktop and employee support experience in an enterprise environment
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Desktop (Windows WIN10/11) and intermediate working knowledge of servers, Office 365/Outlook, Active Directory, and remote desktop
  • Solid understanding of networking basics, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, VLAN, VPN, and Wireless networks
  • Strong understanding of Active directory, O365 Administration, VPN, basic networking, and software troubleshooting
  • Strong customer service skills with both verbal and written communications
  • Time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution
  • Ability to prioritize and manage several tasks efficiently
  • Maintains a high level of communication with customers with respect to scheduling support call follow-up and confirmation of resolution
  • Experience with engineering software such as Autodesk or Bentley products is a huge plus
  • Experience with NetApp Storage, vmWare vCenter, AZURE and Patching also a plus

Will need the ability to establish rapport quickly with others working on the same project, and be able to promote a positive team environment. Working knowledge of dealing with a diverse population while using tact, diplomacy, and respect.
