Intern, Power Market Analyst

As a leader in our industry, we now have over 22 GW of utility-scale energy storage and hybrid renewable energy projects in development and 33 projects in operation or construction across North America.

• Paid, full-time summer internship
• The internship period is June 3, 2024 - August 16, 2024
• Must be based in Austin, TX, or willing to relocate for the duration of the internship period
• You will be required to work in person from the office in the Domain

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the development, regular updating, and interpretation of daily reports and model results in relation to optimizing storage assets;
• Enhance market intelligence for the bidding strategy of battery storage facilities. Includes analysis of supply and demand variables, weather patterns, and market practices;
• Provide analysis around market congestion relative to asset locations;
• Research and analyze historical datasets to determine statistical relationships;
• Complete all ad-hoc projects and special assignments as needed.

Key Qualifications:

• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting engineering, business, economics, data science or equivalent
• Experience or desire to work with programming languages like R and Python
• A strong interest in the renewable energy sector and a passion for decarbonization initiatives 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Ability to work well in a team and adapt to an entrepreneurial environment 
• Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage tasks efficiently 
• A proactive and enthusiastic mindset, with a focus on learning and professional development
