Primary job duties:

The main role of the Manufacturing Engineer Intern is to assist the Manufacturing Engineering team with documentation, design, testing, and support of equipment maintained by Axus Technology. The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will have the ability to take on improvement projects that add value to our customers and improve quality of life, while building the Intern's knowledge base and breadth of experience.

The internship is designed for individuals currently in the pursuit of an Engineering degree (ideally with an emphasis on Mechanical or Electrical Engineering) and is a temporary position with the possibility of a permanent hire upon completion of the internship.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Creating and revising technical documentation such as drawings, schematics, diagrams, procedures, and test documents.
• Aiding in design of parts, assemblies, and systems of Axus Technology equipment.
• Testing of Engineering products on Axus Technology equipment.
• Support continuous improvement projects as necessary.
• Perform projects regarding parts obsolescence and identification of alternative materials

Desired skill:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or in a related field
• Current enrollment in an accredited Engineering program (ideally with an emphasis on Mechanical or Electrical Engineering)
• Knowledge of CAD systems (knowledge and experience with SOLIDWORKS preferred).
• Familiarity with Engineering drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint.
