Title: Purchasing Coordinator / Telecom

Location: Atlanta/Sandy Springs, GA

About the Role:

Purchasing Coordinator completes duties such as handling correspondence, purchasing parts, liaising with suppliers, taking orders from other departments, estimating arrival times, and preparing purchase estimates and reports.

Expectations and Responsibilities:

· PC will work with vendors to place orders for the products that our technicians require.

· PC will conduct administrative and necessary reporting activities to keep the purchasing department running efficiently and effectively.

· PC will maintain purchasing records daily for any charges to our corporate purchasing credit cards in a CC registry. This spreadsheet is vital to the company accountant so keeping this up daily is crucial.

· PC will monitor and maintain AxPro, our parts submission software daily.

· Changing and updating order statuses during the purchasing life cycle, adding tracking information, entering notes/comments, prices, and any other required entries.

· PC will check deliveries against purchase orders to ensure that all materials have arrived intact and in the ordered quantity.

· PC will also schedule outgoing shipments for returns or send purchased materials to off-site locations.

· PC will contact vendors to follow up on late or missing shipments and/or to report damaged goods.

· PC will maintain detailed computerized records of purchases, including quantities ordered and received, shipping information, and costs associated with the purchase.

· PC will ensure that purchasing is within 16% of production ( 5% truck stock/16% OSS).

· PC will build relationships with vendors and support their organizations’ profitability.

· PC will work directly with vendors to gather and negotiate price lists, compare vendor offers for shipping rates and material prices, and maintain vendor contact records.

Core Success Criteria:

· Ability to use discretion when setting priorities and resolving issues in accordance with Company best practices and standards.

· Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to use additional Company software applications.

· Client & Vendor management experience.

· Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.

· Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to achieve results effectively and professionally.

· Strong organizational skills: ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.

Core Qualifications:

· High School diploma: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years previous experience.

· Relevant education or/and training highly preferred.

· Inventory and parts experience.

· Ability to follow and train standard safety practices, common to equipment operation and maintenance work.

· Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

· Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment.

· Ability to respond within 10 minutes to emergency calls as required.
