Job Overview:

Axon Homes is seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in financial accounting, general ledger reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.

Workdays / hours – Monday through Friday, 8:30-4:30

Work location – Axon Homes Office, 224 Seven Farms Drive, Charleston

Pay: commensurate with experience

· 3 years bookkeeping experience

· QuickBooks (QB) desktop knowledge

· Accounts payable and receivable experience

· Proficient knowledge of MS Excel

· Knowledge of construction accounting preferred

· Strong organization skills

· Independent work initiative

Billing/Accounts Payable –

· Process AP checks on a biweekly basis

· Submit all vendor invoicing in QB which includes utilities

· Communicate with vendors for payment

· Review vendor statements to ensure payment in a timely manner

Draws/Accounts Receivable -

· Completing client draws on monthly basis – invoicing and receiving payments

· Assist controller with completing monthly construction draws to the bank for funding

Daily/Weekly/Monthly Tasks –

· Set up new vendors in QB by confirming W9, COI and vendor agreement

· Update and maintain COIs in Quickbooks and BuilderTrend

· Assist with sorting mail

· Submit and reconcile monthly Amex and Visa statements

· Light filing

· Take deposits to the bank / pick up checks

· Enter Budgets/Estimates into QB

· Monthly review of financials with team

Semi-annually/ Annual Tasks –

· Respond to insurance audits

· Assist with yearend 1099’s

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
