To help us drive excellence, as a General Laborer you’ll get to:

• Lift metal part or stock onto machine and secures it on machine table, in chuck, or holding fixture.

• Perform manual bench-type tasks such as sawing, filing, grinding, Milling, Drilling, painting, etc.

• Remove burrs and excess metal from machined parts.

• Inspect parts, components, visually for quality defects such as scrap marks, rust, burrs, etc.

• Deliver metal parts or stock to designated work areas for machining.

• Inspect and ensures parts, components, and assemblies meet specifications.

• Label and/or tag parts and baskets.

• Make deliveries or pick-ups when needed.
• Collect or distribute heat treat items.
• Maintains an orderly large item “incoming/outgoing” area at the machine shop, including splitting incoming die sets, standing up parallels, removing finished products and unused pallets.

This full-time role is a part of our Prototype team and reports to the Prototype Manager

Required education & experience:

• High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience

Required skills & Abilities:

• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to safely operate forklift
• Must be able to safely operate overhead canes

Preferred additional skills & abilities:

• Ability to work with Microsoft Office at a basic level.
