Overview

Information Technology Specialist

Responsibilities

This position supports test resource engineering and staff organizations Information Technology (IT) in the 40 FLTS at Eglin AFB, FL. IT expertise is required to assist in the management of standard Information Systems hardware and software tools and applications. This support includes installation, configuration, maintenance, systems security, and integrity of Personal Computer (PC) desktop computers both stand alone and part of the Eglin network. Support is required for over 500 personnel and over 800 separate IT related devices. It also includes software maintenance, support, and monitoring assistance of 96TW business tools not limited to Job Order Cost Accounting System (JOCAS), Center Scheduling Enterprise (CSE), and Joint Test and Training Operations Control Capability. Additionally, it includes monitoring, maintenance, and security management assistance of stand-alone and network systems and enclaves that support test data acquisition and handling.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship is required. An Active SECRET clearance is required. A Bachelor’s or Masters’ degree in an applicable discipline with 3 to 10 years of experience is required. 6 years of work experience may be substituted for a Bachelors’ degree. Must have a demonstrated ability to work as part of an integrated team. Must have strong communication skills and possess technical writing skill. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications is required. Must be able to work effectively alone, unsupervised, or in groups. Must present knowledgeable, professional appearance to the government client.
