This position is with the East Mammography Call Center Patient Service Representative Full Time 40hrs/week Remote.

ThePatient Service Representative (PSR) Inbound/Outboundwill have exemplary customer service and communication skills speaking with Axia Women’s Health patients.

Essential Functions:

• Confirms, schedules, reschedules, and cancels patient appointments
• Reviews and manages recall appointments and no show/cancellation reports
• Promptly and professionally answers and routes calls to appropriate personnel
• Retrieves and appropriately routes any messages from the answering service
• Explains financial requirements to patients; collects and records copayments and balances as required
• Performs registration functions for new and existing patients and activates patient files
• Maintains confidentiality regarding all patients and follows confidentiality policies per HIPAA compliance.
• Provides additional support to patients and medical staff and performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to handle high call volume in a productive manner and know when to escalate issues.
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with secure records.
• Excellent problem solving, conflict resolution, and organization.
• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates professionalism, a high quality of work, collaboration, goal attainment, attention to detail, self-motivation, and productivity.
• Ability to be a team player to support and assist fellow colleagues

Education and Experience: 

• High school diploma or a general equivalency diploma (GED) required.
• Minimum 1-2 years of customer service
• Call Center experience preferred
• Computer proficiency, including programs such as MS Office, Word, Excel, email, and internet research.
• Knowledge of HIPPA and Insurance Payors
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare information technology (eCw preferred, but not required).
