The Supply Chain Planner/Analyst acts as the link between Malt Supply Chain and the production plants for daily operations. You implement and maintain inventory strategies to balance inventory for sales at Production facilities and entire 3PL network.
You ensure we adhere to shelf life standards (FIFO) and monitor excess/shortage inventory at 3PLs.

Ensure 3rd Party warehouses and/or 3rd party manufacturers are meeting defined service levels. Participate and contribute in periodic S&OP process. Lead implementation of new 3PLs including system setups and training.

Your tasks include:

Implement and maintain inventory strategies to balance network inventories for Production facilities and entire 3PL network.
Review customer demand and production schedules.
Develop plans to fulfil supply network inventory levels including safety stock.
Proactively report product and material availability issues.
Maintain, monitor master data to ensure system is effectively planning future requirements.
Actively support the sites on execution of shipments and oversee daily execution performance with the Transportation and Logistics Team.
Champion month end activities and flag overstocks or inventory close to expiration.
Develop relationship with external suppliers and maintain proper stock of external products.
Work closely with AP team to match any invoices related to 3PLs cost and orders of external products.
Develop and maintain strong relationships to drive continuous improvements and recommendations to correct service level gaps.
Identify and/or support process improvement initiatives or supply chain/logistics projects.
Participate on customer/supplier non-conformance team meetings
Ability to learned and perform other Supply Chain job functions in order to back up when needed.

1-3 years experience in Supply Chain, Inventory management and Production Planning
Grain industry or CPG experience is preferred
Excellent analytical, communication, and team work skills.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and interact with functional departments, plants, and suppliers.
Must be legally authorized to work in the USA, hold a valid passport and have the ability to travel to Canada.
Proficient in Excel and other office suite apps and experience with SAP
English required, Spanish an asset
