operator : AM - : PM

This position is responsible for the set up and operation of various types of automatic, semi-automatic, and manual machines used to shape parts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Work from drawings, specs, and routers with understanding in material handling, programming, and setting up machines to perform close tolerance operations
• Provide training and programming support on production jobs
• Understand quality control process of inspection sheets and non-conforming material, and investigate quality problems relative to machining
• Understand and identify difference in materials such as brass, aluminum, and stainless steel
• Use hand tools and various measuring devices including micrometers and calipers
• Adjust tooling and existing programs as necessary for machines
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery such as oiling and cleaning
• Perform other duties as required

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :

• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, and use simple math to perform basic calculations, and use handheld measuring tools
• year experience in Manufacturing setting
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• years experience in a manufacturing setting
• year technical degree from an accredited educational institute or technical certificate from a college / trade school such as a Journeyman certification
