We are seeking an energetic, artistic, experienced Stained Glass/Leaded Glass Artist (Windows and Doors) to work in our shop in Claymont, Delaware!

AWR Commercial Window Company specializes in the repair and restoration of metal and wood windows and doors. We provide repair, preservation, and restoration services to residential, commercial, municipal, churches, cathedrals, historic, and landmark buildings throughout the United States.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7 AM -3:30 PM (or as workload requires)

Pay range is dependent on experience.

Lead/Stained Glass Artist (Windows and Doors) Requirements:

• 5 years’ experience repairing, rebuilding, and creating leaded and stained-glass panels for windows and doors
• 2 years of knowledge of glass cutting, lead cutting, fitting, and soldering.
• Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs
• Standing, bending, and repetitive motion for up to 8 hours
• Must be able and willing to cross train in other departments
• Must be able to travel when needed
• Possess a valid driver license and have reliable transportation.
• Authorized to work in the United States
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Lead/Stained Glass Artist (Windows and Doors) Responsibilities:

• Repair leaded and stained-glass panels for windows and doors, replacing broken glass, and soldering broken leads.
• Create rubbings of existing leaded and stained-glass panels, detailing color and design pattern
• Disassemble panels for complete rebuild. Accurately document glass pieces for reconstruction.
• Clean and polish each glass piece, and reassemble with new lead
• Maintenance all department equipment in order to ensure all equipment is in proper and safe working conditions
• Ensure clean and safe storage of all equipment
• Ability to read and understand paint specifications.
• Follows company procedures and safety standards
• Other related duties as assigned by management

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
