Avita Pharmacy is Hiring a District Manager, Pharmacy Operations Near , TX

Overview:

The District Manager, Pharmacy Operations will report to and assist the Area Vice President of Pharmacy Operations with overseeing pharmacies within the assigned region. The District Manager will supervise the work of a team of Pharmacy Managers at various locations and perform a variety of administrative, analytical, recruiting, onboarding, training, and workflow management responsibilities.

This position will be responsible for overseeing Avita pharmacy locations in the Eastern and some parts of the Southern region of the U.S. Residency in the state of Texas required.

About the Role:

  • Oversee assigned pharmacy locations to ensure operations run efficiently, foster business growth and adhere to policy guidelines
  • Contribute to the plans and achievements of pharmacy goals
  • Actively participates in the assessment and continuous improvement of patient services, processes, policies, and procedures
  • Manages a team of Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC)
  • Serve as a communication liaison between PICs
  • Coordinates PIC schedules and approve Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • Ensures that policies and procedures are consistently followed
  • Follow and assures compliance with all accreditation requirements
  • Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies
  • Proactively identify and analyze problems and provide effective solutions
  • Directs the training of new pharmacy operations team members
  • Travel for business as needed (up to 50%)
  • Embrace and perform in the spirit of the company’s core values and goals
  • Other duties assigned as needed

About You:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree from an accredited university
  • 5 years of full-time retail or clinic pharmacy experience preferred
  • Certifications in different areas of Pharmacy and completion of an accredited Post-Graduate residency program a plus
  • Pharmacy management experience required
  • Pharmacy license in good standing required
  • Must be registered with the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation or State Board of Pharmacy
  • 340B experience preferred
  • AAHIV Certification preferred
  • Experience with pharmacy software such as PioneerRX, QSI, etc.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical/Health Records (EMR/EHR) such as EPIC, NextGen, CERNER, etc.
  • Strong Technical and MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, analytical, customer service, and communication skills
  • Proactive self-starter with high degree of initiative
  • Able to efficiently work, mentor, and supervise staff in a fast-paced environment
  • Must reside in the state of Texas

Pay range: $115k - $150k annually, based on credentials and geographic location
