A leading digital streaming network is seeking an Android Engineer. The successful candidate will participate in the definition of product requirements, being able toarticulate how the engineering effort will align to those requirements and provide accurate estimates of the effort.The ideal candidate has 3 years of experience developing Android Applications. Android Engineer Mobile Developer Pay and Benefits:

• Hourly pay: $80/hr
• Worksite: Leading digital streaming network. (Remote, Candidates must be located in the United States and available to work during East Coast office hours)
• W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program
• 40 hours/week, 6 Month Assignment

Android Engineer Mobile Developer Responsibilities:

• Hands-on software development on the Android/Android TV/Amazon/Amazon Fire TVplatform.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy new solutions as well as maintain, integrate andimprove existing solutions.
• Collaborate with the product team to understand and deliver on their requirements.
• Handle individual project priorities and deadlines.
• Participate in preparing business cases, requirements documents and product roadmapsfor the Android platform.
• Prepare technical proposals and diagrams to deliver high-quality, maintainable software.
• Represent coding standard methodologies through sharing your expertise, performingcode reviews, and mentoring engineers.
• Additional other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

Android Engineer Mobile Developer Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience developing Android Applications.
• Have shipped one or more apps to the Google Play and/or Amazon app store.
• Experience programming in Java and Kotlin.
• Experience using Gradle and Android Studio.
• Experience with coroutines, Jetpack Compose, unit testing, test-driven development, branching patterns and continuous integration/deployment.
• Experience following and implementing software design patterns.
• Experience with Kubernetes is a plus.
• Familiarity with RxJava or other reactive frameworks.
• Able to work with multiple scrum teams in an agile process.
• Experience with unit testing, test-driven development, branching patterns and continuous integration/deployment.
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to facilitate conversations with business partners in project definition, business requirements definition and functional design sessions.
• Eye for quality and user experience.
• Translate business objectives into software requirements.
• Familiarity with RxJava or other reactive frameworks is a plus.
• Good communication skills are important, as well as collaborating with multiple teams on projects.

Android Engineer Shift:

• 9:00 am – 5:00 pm ET or 10:00 am – 6:00 pm ET
