Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a Software Systems Engineer to support the IFMC AMD Mission Command Product Office. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Tasks include developing system-level features that describe MEI and CSCI behavior, performance, and acceptance criteria necessary to guide software implementation. Tasks also include leading reviews and adjudicating comments made against the features.
• The candidate in this role will work with both contractors, government civilians, and system operators.
• Tasks also include leading reviews and adjudicating comments made against the features. An MBSE approach is used to document the features using an Agile workflow.

Required Experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related field is required.
• Must have seven (7) or more years of systems engineering experience.
• Must have a solid theoretical and applied knowledge of Link-16. Experience with the integration of MIDS terminals via ethernet interfaces is highly desired.
• Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.

Preferred Qualifications:

• System engineering experience in support of DoD programs is highly desired, especially in an Army Air and Missile Defense program.
• Hands-on experience creating models in Cameo or MagicDraw using SysML and UAF is desired.
• Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence and SAFe^© Agile experience are a plus.
