Aviation Institute of Maintenance is Hiring a DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS Near Phoenix, AZ

Position Purpose
This position is responsible for management of the campus Admissions department’s achievement of campus admissions goals, and compliance with Company Admissions Policy and Procedure and all standards determined by regulatory bodies that govern admissions practices. An employee may also be designated with the title of Senior or Master Campus Director of Admissions based on fulfillment of designated proficiencies and benchmarks.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
  • A focus on attracting students who are qualified and likely to complete and benefit from the education and training provided by the school and not simply obtaining enrollments. It is not permissible to become involved in admission testing or admission decisions, including signing and accepting the enrollment agreement
  • Leading the Admissions Department in providing assistance to all Company developed inquiries (both previously received and new), through the complete inquiry cycle from Inquiry to Start including, taking inbound calls and making outgoing calls, scheduling appointments, interviewing students, receiving applications, making recommendations regarding prospective students ability to benefit from the education and training, and doing the necessary follow-up to ensure that students attend orientation and start school as scheduled
  • Daily audit of all inquiries received the previous day by comparison of the handwritten copy of the Daily Inquiry Log with the Lead Master Listing Summary Report from CampusVue
  • Hire, train, evaluate, and supervise Assistant Campus Directors of Admissions, Admissions Representatives and the Receptionist
  • Possess an understanding of Admissions Metrics Conversions
  • Conduct admissions meetings and training sessions
  • Ensure the entire Admissions section of CampusVue, including Contact Manager and the Folders in the Admissions and Contact Manager sections, are accurately updated in a timely manner and that all Admissions Representatives are effectively using CampusVue as a recruiting tool
  • Audit Admissions Blue Folder to ensure all documents required by the Student File Checklist are sequentially in the folder, tracked in the Document Tracking section of CampusVue and scanned and uploaded.
  • Ensure all Admissions requirements are met by all applicants to include additional program requirements of Criminal Background Checks, Testing, Letter of Reference and required interviews.
  • Complete the Admissions Section of the Weekly Campus Executive Director’s Reports
  • Inventory and order promotional materials to include postcards, brochures, orientation folders, and School Catalogs
  • Ensure continued participation by Admissions personnel at career fairs.
  • Provide departmental support to the Campus Executive Director
  • Serve as the Admissions Department’s liaison with the Financial Aid Department, Career/Student Services Department, all Program Coordinators, Registrar, Bursar and school management.
  • Recruitment of students to include all aspects of the enrollment process such as taking inquiry calls, interviewing and touring students, and signing the Student Enrollment Agreement regarding any recommendations.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises the Admissions Representatives, Assistant Director of Admissions, and the Receptionist.
Education/Experience/Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a successful campus Admissions Representative is desired.
  • Prefer track record of skill in managing an Admissions team in a fast-paced, performance driven, compliance- oriented environment.
  • Patience and problem-solving approach to Admissions issues
  • Must be detail oriented, highly organized, and have the ability to multi-task.
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalism
  • Persuasive communication skills with a strong customer/student focus
  • High motivation and passion for goal achievement is a must
  • Excellent computer skills are required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); CampusVue experience a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends, as necessary
  • Ability and willingness to work in a team environment
