Sr. Product & Brand Marketing Manager - Location: 14460 Varsity Brands Way, Farmers Branch, TX 75244 / Hybrid: 2 Days in office (Tuesday and Thursday)
BSN SPORTS is seeking to add a Senior Product and Brand Marketing Manager to its growing marketing team that will play a critical role in developing and executing product marketing strategy for a growing portfolio of private label sports uniforms, performance apparel, accessories, and equipment as well as supporting differentiated marketing for other brand product offerings. This highly collaborative role will be developing the branding, positioning, and creative assets across channels for all private label products, and other product vendor brands. The ideal candidate has experience taking new products and/or apparel brands to market and demonstrated success building a distinct, strong brand, as well as building operational excellence across large cross-functional teams. This role will partner with Merchandising and Planning across the entire portfolio of product, from helping shape what is developed, launching, and growing adoption. This will be a player-coach role, meaning you will be rolling up your sleeves as well as training a small but growing team. Market-intelligent, competitor-aware, and customer-obsessed, this candidate will bring marketing strategy, insights craft, and rigor to this role and team.
What you will do:
  • Develop and manage cohesive marketing strategy across proprietary, brand, and product-specific categories with a strong integrated marketing lens,crafting compelling brand and product narratives across all customer-touchpoints that translate product technical details into key benefits, value, and an overall distinct positioning.
  • Partner closely with the Private Label Merchandising team to effectively develop and execute GTM marketing strategy, positioning, messaging and launches for all BSN SPORTS private label apparel, uniforms, accessories, designs, branding, and new product lines. Create streamlined brand guidelines & campaigns to grow proprietary products to help accelerate high-margin drivers.
  • Increase market share of priority products, brands, and categories, with an eye towards better meeting the needs of new customer segments aligned with sales priorities to drive incremental revenue.
  • Lead the planning, brief-writing, execution, and optimization of key product (private label, new products, new brands) marketing campaigns, including creative development, campaign launch, budget management, campaign tracking, A/B testing and performance analysis.
  • Build and maintain collaborative, trusted relationships with Merchandising and Product Planning to drive optimal business performance via developing sales enablement tools, impactful product messaging, positive customer perception, and effective go-to-market and campaign execution.
  • Stay up to date with market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behaviors to identify opportunities for growth and optimize marketing strategies. Act as the voice of the customer and generate customer and market insights to inform product narratives, differentiated positioning and resonant messaging.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), track campaign performance in partnership with business, merchandising, planning, sales, and digital marketing stakeholders, and provide regular reports and insights to stakeholders, identifying areas of improvement and actionable recommendations.
What you bring:
  • Strong analytical skills: Proficient in analyzing data, metrics, and consumer insights to derive actionable insights and optimize marketing strategies for optimized performance.
  • Channel marketing expertise: In-depth knowledge of marketing channels, tools and optimization and testing techniques, specifically in email marketing, paid social/digital, SEO, SEM, content marketing, direct mail, and influencer/affiliate marketing.
  • Strategic mindset: Ability to think strategically and develop innovative marketing strategies to meet business objectives, while also possessing strong attention to detail for flawless campaign execution.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Results-oriented: Proven track record of achieving or exceeding marketing targets.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
What you need:
  • 7 years of experience in relevant work experience with a minimum of 5 years in private label/apparel marketing, product marketing, fashion marketing, and/or brand management.
  • 3 years of prior people management experience.
  • Track-record of leading successful go-to-market launches for new products or brands.
  • Product marketing tactical expertise: developed product positioning and executed an integrated marketing campaign to support new product and brand launches.
