Job Summary

  • The Senior Denial Prevention & Management Analyst is responsible for ensuring revenue cycle optimization through system wide reporting of revenue cycle breakdowns resulting in claim denials for areas including, but not limited to, Patient Access, Health Information Management, Utilization Review, Centralized Business Office, and clinics.
  • The Senior Revenue Cycle Denial Prevention & Management Analyst is responsible for communicating, coordinating, and processing denial functions and to follow up effectively to obtain accurate and optimal reimbursement due.
  • The Senior Analyst ensures all functions are performed in the most efficient, streamlined, and expedited process possible for PPS and CAH facilities, including, but not limited to, select clinic accounts.
  • The Senior Analyst reviews denials for bimonthly or quarterly meetings with leaders to provide denial trends to be addressed and remedied.
  • The Senior Analyst monitors, identifies, and facilitates, in conjunction with the Revenue Cycle Services Officer, all Surprise Billing dispute resolution processes to ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
  • The Senior Analyst serves as a subject matter expert to stakeholders and provides training to new hires.

Education and/or Experience

  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Arts/Science/or Associates of Applied Science degree required.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of work experience collectively in the following areas: a larger hospital, hospital medical billing, and claim denial management involving all areas of the revenue cycle required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years working in the capacity of a Denial Prevention Analyst and/or Denial Prevention & Management Analyst required.

Work Schedule

  • Monday-Friday; 80hrs/2wks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

  • $23.75 - $30.25 per hour
