Aventura Health Group is Hiring an Environmental Services Director Near Petersburg, FL

Aventura at the Bay is looking for an experienced Environmental Services Director to join our team!!

Overview:

The purpose of your job position is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.

Qualifications

  • Nursing home experience
  • Proficient in Office applications, good with computer programs
  • Thrive in high-paced environment
  • Organized, High Energy

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct housekeeping department
  • Interpret the department's policies and procedures to employees, residents, vistors, and government agencies
  • Coordinate housekeeping services and activities with other related departments
  • Assist the Infection Control Coordinator in identfying and classifying routine and job related functions to ensure that housekeeping tasks involving potential exposure to blood/body fluids are properly identified and recorded
  • Inspect storage rooms, utility/janitorial closets for upkeep and supply control
  • Participate in facility surveys/inspections mad by authorized government agencies
  • Delegate a responsible stff member to act in your behalf when you are absent
  • Attend department head meetings, etc., as scheduled
  • Make schedules for employees
  • Hold team meetings for your department
  • Place orders for necessary supplies for facility 
  • Make/assign daily rounds to assure that housekeeping personnel are performing required daily duties
  • Ensure chemical hazardous containers in the department are properly labled and stored
  • Ensure cleaning supplies used by the facility for disinfection and decontimamination are EPA approved
  • Assist in preparing/planning the housekeeping department's budget and submit to Adminstrator for review and approval
