As the Cloud Security Architect IV, you will provide consultation on Cloud solutions that will balance the need for speed and flexibility of Cloud infrastructure and IaaS/PaaS/SaaS applications with the requirement to never compromise Availity security. Lead efforts in enhancing the Information Security design for Cloud throughout the enterprise. Enforce regulatory requirements with Security policies, standards, procedures, and technical controls. Server as the technical SME on various Cloud initiatives. This vital role requires the ability to orchestrate visionary ideas with the aptitude to define new security strategies with the determination to get the initiatives done. Location: Remote, US Why work on this team: This is a flexible team that values and grows the relationships they have with their business partners as they understand that is where success lies in an ever-changing technology landscape This role will give this associate the chance to directly impact our business going forward as we move towards a fully cloud-based Availity Role qualifications: 10 years of progressive work experience designing business processes, process mapping, working on process improvement initiatives, and business applications security design Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technology field or 3 years of experience within the development or security field would be considered in lieu of a degree Must thoroughly understand software installations, systems monitoring and troubleshooting, account management, and overall efforts to minimize system downtime Must have an advanced understanding of DevOps ideologies to drive and communicate change supporting DevOps/SecOps methodology within organization Must have experience working with government compliance frameworks and translating those requirements into technical controls. These should include Impact Levels, Defense Information Systems Agency and FedRAMP controls and certifications. Must have experience with Git, Jenkins, and Terraform Must have experience with common serverless languages (Python, Go) Must have strong experience with cloud security strategy, cloud service provider (CSP) ecosystems (Amazon AWS) Must have experience with DevOps and Agile methodology Must have knowledge of cloud networking, operations, security, automation, and orchestration Must have clear understanding of security protocols and standards and experience with software/security architectures Must have excellent communication skills to bridge knowledge gaps between IT staff and non-IT corporate staff Must have experience with n-tier architecture Must have experience in networking concepts and services, to include PKI, IPsec, VPNs, and UDP, TCP/IP Must be familiar with high-availability (HA) and disaster recovery/failover implementations for multiple availability zones and regions. Must have strong written and oral communication skills Must be organized, responsive and excellent problem solver Must have the ability to work with minimal direction on a variety of, and on occasion ambiguous, functional and/or technical requirements What you will be doing: Lead Cloud Security Architecture and Engineering for Enterprise and Business teams for all IaaS, PaaS and SaaS implementations Serve as primary contact to Governance, Risk and Compliance to ensure all Cloud Accounts consistently meet Availity’s security, contractual, and regulatory requirements Provide technical leadership in IT Security strategy for both infrastructure and applications Steer cloud configurations and services towards industry-leading security with your domain expertise Proactively assess in collaboration with Offensive Security Teams all existing cloud implementations, identifying security issues and prioritizing fixes Engineer and implement new Cloud Security tools to support all DevOps/SecOps processes being mindful of cloud compute resources Execute daily and ongoing security oversight of SecOps operations, to include the security impact of proposed modifications, additions, and technology implementation/refresh of business and IT operations Understand and address all cloud security vulnerabilities and associated threats, as well as assess overall security risks to the cloud environments using approved software tools Provide mitigation recommendations to reduce identified security risks Work directly with internal IT staff and customer to establish and enforce IT security best practices, protection objectives, process improvements and effective IT security controls Availity culture and benefits: Availity is a certified “Great Place to Work”, a “Best Workplaces for Technology Companies”, a “Best Workplaces for Women” and a “Best Workplaces for Millennials”!
