Reporting to the Manager, Applications Development the React Software Engineer III will be part of a new team designing an application that will connect Availity's data. This team of 9 will be responsible for all phases of the application build and will work closely with stakeholders on the requirements.

What you will be doing:

• Acting as the primary front-end developer for this newly created team
• Working with stakeholders to identify and execute requirements
• Reviewing requirements and determining gaps or missing elements in system, process and/or functional requirements
• Participating in daily stand ups
• Participating in code reviews
• Providing input on programming or development standards
• Applying the software development life cycle
• Developing code that reuses subroutines or objects, is well structured, includes sufficient comments, and is easy to maintain
• Writing programs, ad hoc queries, and reports
• Writing technical documentation
• Performing unit testing and debugging to ensure requirements are satisfied

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in relevant work experience
• 4 years of experience working in an Agile and/or iterative development environment
• Experience with React
• Experience with JavaScript
• Experience with HTML, JQuery, and CSS
• Knowledge, skills, and experience to write detailed technical documentation, specifically business requirements and functional specifications for application development
• Ability and experience to facilitate JAD sessions or other requirements gathering processes
• Knowledge and ability to apply OOD (Java, HTML, XML, Java Script, .Net C# and Patterns) and impact to the application development process
• Knowledge of web development methodologies (primarily Agile/Scrum), application design, navigation, and information architecture
• AWS or other cloud provider experience is highly desired
• Healthcare industry experience is a plus
