Autumn Wind Assisted Living Mineola is Hiring a Nursing Assistant ( Evening Shift) Near Mineola, TX

Responsibilities including but not limited to:

· Assists residents with activities of daily living, answering resident call lights, determining how best to help them, and providing great patient care.

· Assists in serving meals to residents. Ensuring residents receive appropriate diet.

· Participate and encourage residents to socialize and participate in leisure activities.

· Knowledge and compliance with all policies and procedures for Autumn Wind including proper protocols for emergency situations.

· Works as a member of the team, assisting other co-workers when needed.

· Support a dignified and caring atmosphere with residents, resident’s families, visitors, and co-workers.

· Protect privacy and confidentiality of information pertaining to the resident, other employees, and Autumn Wind’s information and records.

· Maintain a safe and secure working environment. Practice safe working habits with emphasis on proper body mechanics.

· Reporting observations of patient behavior, including complaints, or physical symptoms to nurses or medication attendants.

· Performs all other job duties and assigned tasks as provided or requested by the nurses and/or Staffing Coordinator.

Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, CNA preferred three to six months experience or training in direct service with older adults preferred. Familiarity with MSDS and infection control measures.

Qualifications:

Observation, flexibility, patience, emotional strength, physical strength, attention to detail, compassion, and a positive attitude. Some physical requirements include standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, sitting, and lifting.

Overtime, alternate shifts, weekends, and some holidays may be necessary.
