Summary:The EVS Supervisor, in support of the EVS Director, is responsible for the day to day operations of the EVS department managing all EVS staff including EVS Workers, EVS Project/ Floor Specialists, and EVS Work Leaders.The EVS Supervisorsis responsible for all human resource activities for the staff that directly reports to them including all recruiting, disciplinary functions, as well as all scheduling of the EVS staff. The EVS Supervisor reports directly to the EVS Director.Position Responsibilities:

• Scheduling of staff and distribution of work assignments, including ensuring all assigned work is completed per area adhering to infection control and following departmental policies.
• Responds to internal and external customer requests and handles complaints in accordance with departmental standards in order to ensure every experience is outstanding.
• Ensures that all waste is handled, disposed and transported in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
• Assists housekeeping staff with daily responsibilities as needed.
• Act as a first responder in all emergency situations; and represents the department in lieu of EVS Director when needed.
• Maintains equipment and supplies within parameters of departmental budgetary guidelines.

Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:3 years related supervisory experience in a healthcare related setting preferred.Required Education:
HS diploma or equivalent.
