The Training Manager is responsible for standardizing and facilitating training classes for employees in the distribution center. Responsible for training distribution center advisors, reporting, coaching, and assisting with new hire orientation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute and maintain “Train the Trainer” program
• Evaluate and monitor trainers
• Coach, evaluate, perform reporting for new hires
• Facilitate cross training for trainers
• Evaluate trainer needs by department – cross train trainers in those departments
• Give a preview of the training process to new hires
• Assist with recertification and training after an injury, critical incident, near miss or injury event. Partner with the DC Safety Manager to understand the cause for each injury and critical incident
• Facilitate any training requested by management

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years successful experience in a supervisory/advisor level role. Prefer prior training experience.

• Exceptional people skills with the ability to communicate effectively
• Coach a team to meet performance standards
• Understand the demands of a fast-paced work environment involving receiving, stocking, inbound, outbound, etc.
• Work in a team environment
• Be flexible as to shift schedule
• Must be certified to operate Powered Industrial Equipment (PIE)
