Position: Director of Marketing

The Director of Marketing, in close partnership with sales and the leadership team will build the Go-to-Market Strategy for PaymentVision and Lyons. This will encompass synthesizing insights and data from research, stakeholders, customers, and markets to design a marketing plan that generates customer demand and growth. The Director, with sales oversight, will utilize their findings, technical understanding of CRMs, and information about the business to implement new processes, create efficiencies, manage channel development, and boost system productivity. This position will report to the Vice President of PaymentVision Sales.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with sales leaders to identify Trade Shows and events to attend.
  • Determine which Trade Shows to participate in as exhibitors, and which to attend in a sales capacity.
  • Balance Trade Show presence by supporting and sponsoring events that will generate traffic and increase visibility.
  • Organize cooperative events with distribution and capability partners at offsite locations to build relationships and generate business opportunities.
  • Design best-in-class marketing materials, content for social media, and sales trainings for use, and for an internal library of resources.
  • Develop the Company’s social media marketing strategy to generate inbound leads, followers, and to build further brand recognition.
  • Oversee the overall content, messaging, and continual refreshing of the Company’s web site and its components to ensure search engine optimization and high performance on other relevant metrics.
  • Act as the primary owner of the company’s CRM platform, ensuring the system can capture leads, analyze customer data for targeting, integrate advertising efforts with social media platforms and can release product notifications.
  • Track overall performance of all sales channels and campaigns using Google Tag Manager advising on KPIs based on performance analysis.
  • Automate the pipeline /sales journey in CRM so stakeholders may assess progress
  • Optimize sales fields in CRM, enabling the output of accurate and detailed sales quotes. ​​​​​​
  • Develop a channel and lead source cost per lead (CPL) analysis for quarterly review with stakeholders.
  • Support sales by aiming to generate marketing qualified leads (MQLs) which convert to sales qualified leads (SQLs).
  • Track conversion rates by channel of MQLs to SQLs in hours and/or days to monitor performance, making changes as needed to support more significant lead generation.
  • Identify ways to reach new customer segments on an ongoing basis.
  • Build thought leadership position in the market by signing up for speaking engagements, publishing content to educate prospects around pain points, and seeking to impact the buyer’s journey with information and ideas.
  • Develop the Go-to-Market Strategy for products by:
    • Assessing competitors to stay current with product lines, media, and digital presence.
    • Focusing on how products will solve problems and can be integrated as part of a more significant solution.
    • Developing and coordinating content of SEO value such as regular blogging and publishing white papers to generate traffic and convert visitors into leads.
    • Developing a Content Management System (CMS) to build out models for re-optimization across channels.
    • Managing feeds and platforms (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, etc.).

Position Type and Work Schedule

This is a full-time, exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This position may require working additional hours daily and on weekends should workloads require this to meet deadlines.

We are currently a hybrid workplace with some positions in the office full time, some positions are 100% remote and some positions are in the office 2 days a week.

Travel

This position requires up to 20% travel, including attending trade shows and public events.

Education and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree or comparable experience are in Marketing, Product Management, and/or Business development within a professional services environment.
  • 5 years’ experience and demonstrated success in digital B2B marketing in a SAAS or ecommerce industry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications, WordPress, and CRM systems
  • Basic HTML and Adobe Creative Suite is desirable.
  • Successful track record of leveraging social media channels to drive SEO and brand awareness.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation and blogging software desired, not required to generate traffic, convert visitors into leads and then nurture them (using dynamic workflows), into converted customers.
  • Experience with marketing communications, lead nurturing, web analytics.
  • Experience working with CRMs, Microsoft Dynamics desired, not required.
  • Experience with defining and optimizing CRM workflow automation is desired.
  • Able to track campaign efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Experience managing and tracking conversion data and other marketing KPI reporting metrics.

  • Must be detail-oriented, accurate, possess strong analytical skills, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Able to function in an environment with changing priorities and sometimes unclear objectives.
  • Results and outcome driven.
