Automotive Search Group is Hiring an AUTOMOTIVE PARTS AND SERVICE MANAGER (COASTAL NC) Near Greenville, NC

Automotive Parts and Service Manager needed for growing new car dealership in Coastal North Carolina. This is with a very stable organization with very low turnover so this is truly a great long-term opportunity for a Parts and Service Manager that is looking for that long term "home" and has the energy, motivation, and knowledge to get the Service Department to the next level! Unlimited growth potential for a strong leader that is process driven. Experience with Asian import brands is a plus. The successful candidate will be a forward thinking Fixed Ops Manager with an entrepreneurial mindset that treats their department as their own and takes pride in what they do. It is important that the Parts and Service Manager comes to work with a smile and positive attitude each day and always strives to better their team and their department.

The Service Department at this reputable new car dealership has great CSI, a strong team in place, zero warranty issues, and service is already booked out so this is a great opportunity to take over a well established department looking to get to the next level. It is important that the Parts and Service Manager hired is great at delegating, training and continuously developing staff, and focused on fine tuning processes for continued success. This position will report directly to the Dealer Principal who is very actively involved in the dealership but NOT a micromanager. The Dealer Principal is open open to new technologies and methods of growing the business and is looking for a long-term business partner in their Parts and Service Manager who can bring the fixed department to new heights and is very willing to expand the facility if the department reaches capacity and has the lot space to do so. Must be professional, take ownership of the successes and failures of your department, and care about your team, the customers, and the overall well-being of the dealership. The Parts and Service Manager will be the acting Service Manager at the store so this is not a lead from afar position. Must be able to see the bigger picture in addition to the day to day details. Extremely competitive compensation package for the right long-term hire at this reputable store. Serious relocation candidates will be considered. 5 day work week, M-F for the successful candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the service team, including hiring, training, and supervising technicians and other service staff
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong, lasting relationships with customers, vendors, and team members
  • Bring enthusiasm to work each day, the manager is key in creating a positive, energetic atmosphere within their team
  • Training and Process Improvement: Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the service and parts teams
  • Profitability Management: Monitor, analyze, and optimize department profitability while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Customer Satisfaction: Uphold a culture of customer-centric service, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and ensuring every customer has a positive experience
  • Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and reports to provide insights into department performance and areas for improvement
  • Oversee the scheduling of repairs and maintenance with customers and technicians
  • Ensure ROs are completed and closed out in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Manage the budget for the service department and analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement
  • Monitor and maximize ELR and HRO
  • Ensure CSI is in the green and customers have a great experience as to attract repeat and new clients into the future
  • Submitting daily reports and KPIs
  • Actively recruit and develop technicians
  • Handle customer service inquiries and address any concerns or complaints
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction within the service department
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, and implement new technologies and processes as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to repairs, maintenance, and customer interactions
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the dealership
  • Oversee parts inventory, ordering, returns, and pulling of parts.
  • Oversee warranty work and claims, ensure warranty is kept clean
  • Attend 20 group meetings with the Dealer Principal
  • Other duties as assigned

Schedule:

Excellent schedule, 5 day work week and the manager is expected to work Monday - Friday.

Compensation:

  • Compensation range will be in the $150,000 - $200,000 range for the successful candidate with a proven track record in Fixed Ops and a verifiable track record.
  • Full benefits package provided including health, dental, 401(k) matching, paid holidays and vacation.
