Automation Personnel Services is Hiring a Shipping Supervisor Near Kennesaw, GA

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Shipping Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate staff including staff training, attendance, and disciplinary measures while improving team productivity through metrics, observation, scheduling, and distribution of work assignments.
- Read shipping notices, invoices, orders, and other documents to determine priorities and shipping methods in a timely manner in accordance with service level agreements.
- Organizing and examining shipments for accuracy, neatness and conformance to Company policy and procedures.
- Conferring with Warehouse Supervisor to ensure coordination of daily warehouse activities.
- Assisting co-workers with order/product issues.
- Maintaining an orderly and neat shipping area as well as general housekeeping of the warehouse, ensuring compliance with the use of safety devices and equipment.
- Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 50lbs.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 3 to 6 years of warehouse/shipping experience.
- Previous experience in 3PL environment or logistics
- Computer knowledge: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Data entry skills.
- Good Math and reading skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Understand and practice safety policies and procedures.
- Drug-screening and background checks are required.
- Required to complete a lifting assessment.
Full time, temp to hire.
