Job Posting Information – CNC Chamfer Operator Essential Role And Responsibilities
- Prepare and operate CNC machines to fabricate parts, maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Work in coordination with department supervisor, scheduler and floor personnel to plan and sequence work through the machines.
- Sets-up mill / lathe by installing and adjusting, tools, collets, indicating vices.
- Manage inventory by checking stock racks, anticipating needed materials, and placing orders for stock.
- Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions and troubleshooting malfunctions.
- All other responsibilities as assigned.
- Experience running CNC metal working machines (primarily milling operations) required.
- (5 years is preferred, but willing to train the right candidate).
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Proficient in the use of handheld measurement tools including Calipers, micrometers, gauge pins and blocks, various other types of measurement equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to enter data into automated system as required.
- Follows verbal and written instructions and pass work lineup to other shift personnel.
- Ability to accurately complete complex work with attention to detail.
- Ability to identify and resolve clearly defined problems.
- Ability to communicate all issues, concerns, or questions to management.
