AUTO HAUS BODY SHOP (GRAFTON COLLISION CENTER) is hiring a body technician at our WILLIAMSBURG LOCATION!! We are family owned and operated and have been in business since 1992 as part of the AUTO HAUS dealership group. Our body shops (2 total) are equipped with high-quality equipment, are clean, well-lit, and provide a friendly work environment.
SUMMARY:
We are looking for Experienced - "Auto Body Technicians" to join our team. If you are tired of where you work and want to work in a clean and safe environment, come and see what we have to offer. RESPONSIBILITIES FOR AUTO BODY TECHNICIANS:
- Perform work specified with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies
- Body repair, welding, and frame straightening of import and domestic vehicles
- Deconstruct vehicles, diagnose repairs needed and then reconstruct vehicles
- Communicate directly with the Shop Manager so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed
- Execute repairs to manufacturer specifications
REQUIREMENTS FOR AUTO BODY TECHNICIAN:
- Must have at least 4 years of experience as an auto body technician
- Knowledge in all aspects of auto body, auto frame, and structural repair
- Must have own basic tools
- Be a fast learner
- Have good written and verbal communication skills
- Have good customer service skills
- Be a team player
- Able to operate shop equipment proficiently
- Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities:
- Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, including body work, painting, and mechanical repairs
- Assess and diagnose vehicle damage and provide accurate repair estimates
- Repair or replace damaged body parts, panels, and glass
- Utilize welding equipment to repair or fabricate metal components
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete repairs and refinishing
- Ensure all repairs meet quality standards and customer satisfaction
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and questions
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in auto body repair or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of auto estimating, including parts and labor costs
- Familiarity with dealership repair processes and procedures is a plus
- Proficiency in welding techniques for metal repair and fabrication
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively and safely
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components
- Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality workmanship
- Experience in auto restoration is a bonus
