The direct support professional, working under the guidance and support plan of a BCBA, will help children to learn to achieve tasks of daily living and work on their individualized goals which may include: language, behavior management, and social skills.
You will be responsible for collecting data and reporting to the BCBA.
This is a home- based program working with families in the Greater MetroWest Area of Massachusetts. The schedule is flexible and would be determined between you and the family.
-Bachelor’s Degree, High School Diploma, GED (at least 18 years old)
-120 hours of supervised training, of which 30 hours must be direct supervision in the implementation of behaviorally based therapies with children with ASD.
-Direct experience providing one-to-one care for a child on the autism spectrum or if the individual has no direct experience must receive 160 hours of supervised training.
-Two sessions of initial home visits under the direct supervision of senior therapist with monthly supervision by senior therapist thereafter.
Two personal or professional references.
